Suvarnabhumi Airport

Although I can't say that I enjoy airports, Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi (literally "The Golden Land" in Thai) International Airport is one of the most architecturally interesting, in comparison to the other airports we've been in, and is chock full of great art.

This sculptural scene depicts a tug of war between the demons (Asuras)...

...and the demigods (Devas), who are twisting the body of the naga Vasuki (king of serpents) to churn the milk ocean for a thousand years to produce the nectar of immortality.

Vishnu incarnated as a huge turtle with the naga wrapped around Mt. Mandara

There are many versions of this Hindu story, but this is how they summarize it at the Bangkok airport.
